Boston University LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, School of Medicine, Biochemistry in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The Research Technician will help organize and maintain a research laboratory, and participate in research studies focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating Small RNA and RNAi function using genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemical procedures. Such research will include: creation and studying mosquito cell diseases, mosquito cell culture, transfection and gene transfer in cultured cells, DNA and RNA preparation, microscopy analysis, protein isolation and analysis. The incumbent will assist with technical aspects of experiments under the direction of senior investigators in the group. The research technician will further be expected to prepare and maintain research and laboratory materials; make observations; and assist with data analysis of experiments.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience.
