Student Employment Office (SEO) HR Business Analyst The SEO HR Business Analyst will be an important member of the SEO team and have daily exposure to student HR data, applications and reporting tools. While working within JobX and SAP, the Business Analyst will have exposure to many administrative departments and schools within the University. The SEO HRBusiness Analyst will be an integral member of the SEO Team focusing on student employee hiring, time entry, payment, personnel, and position information. This position will be charged with identifying and resolving JobX system problems, with the assistance of Enrollment Service Operations and IS&T support.

  • Resolve or triage SAP and related JobX user incident tickets through Service Now. This will include resolution of system errors, org or student employee/personnel data updates, user training or system usage advice, data requests and system security updates and resolution of student employee issues.

  • Work with the ENSA team to understand possible data and process issues and look for resolutions through available systems/applications/processes/reports available.

  • Assist in quality assurance and user acceptance testing for cyclical system upgrades, enhancements, and defect fixes.

  • Perform data corrections and assist in identifying and analyzing options and recommend business process enhancements based on system functionality.

  • Analyze work process design/ flow and make recommendations for improvements to maximize technological capabilities.

  • Payroll Responsibilities: Serve as back-up for verifying weekly payroll figures to confirm that payroll is in balance.

  • Maintain thorough understanding of all student payroll business link, JobX, and SAP functions.

  • Answer questions and troubleshoot if problems occur.

Required Skills

  • The SEO Business Analyst should demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • One or more years experience in modern ERP systems.

  • Preferred Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

  • Human resource experience in a higher education setting. One or more years of SAP experience in HCM modules.
