This position is providing financial, payroll and other professional financial support to the CHMC (Children’s Hospital Medical Center) Anesthesia Foundation.
This Financial (Payroll) Analyst II, Anesthesia Foundation will be responsible for:
Accurately processing the Foundation’s monthly payroll in accordance with federal and state law and foundation/department requirements, as directed by the Physician Organization’s (P.O.’s) Payroll department.
Maintaining the payroll system including processing of new hires, leaves, terminations in accordance with regulatory and pension requirements.
Verifying wage/salary changes, bonuses and other additional payments, vacations payouts, and deductions including benefits and tax deductions.
Performing payroll audit activities. Analyzing payroll issues and recommending corrective actions.
Reviewing and responding to payroll and benefit queries from employees in a timely manner.
Monitoring, processing, and changing any Foundation employee benefits and their plans.
Researching and analyzing financial data for internal clients.
Creating, organizing, and maintaining files using database & other programs.
Retrieving & organizing data into reports, identifying discrepancies & resolving inquiries.
Recommending solutions & ensuring that corrections or changes are implemented.
Coordinating the development of operating budgets. Providing information & collaborating with Controller & Director of Finance.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration
(2) Two years of experience in financial analysis, accounting and/or payroll management
Experience with payroll is preferred
Experience with databases and database tools is preferred
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Proficiency with MS Office applications, in particular Excel
