SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Digital Community Manager will be an audience engagement leader responsible for driving conversation and building community with audiences across the Museum's digital channels. This role will be responsible for creating and executing against an engagement strategy that is aligned with the Museum's mission, brand and messaging guidelines across our online platforms, while leveraging best practices for each channel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Building community / audience relationships for 10+ digital products / channels.
Responding to comments across 10+ channels and communities with a response time of 24 hours
Engaging in groups with millions of digital members
Daily monitoring of digital channels, including evening and weekend hours.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
REPORTS TO:
Head of Digital Audience Development
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3 or more years of science or science-related content/brands experience
Demonstrated experience with written and verbal communication, particularly for online audiences.
Organization skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with major social media platforms.
Proficiency with social media analytics tools.
Demonstrated experience communicating with various audiences on social media platforms about a diverse set of topics
Demonstrated experience launching and managing community initiatives like social media groups (i.e. Facebook, Reddit), user forums, or superuser programs.
Ability to understand data and analytics and to make data-driven decisions.
STARTING SALARY:
Exempt (Salaried). $70,000 - $80,000 Annually
