Tufts Medicine Consultation-Liaison and Emergency Psychiatry Attending, Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA in Boston, Massachusetts
Tufts Medical Center, the principal teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine, and its Department of Psychiatry are seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join the Consultation-Liaison and Emergency psychiatry service to meet the needs of the expanding psychiatric services.
Tufts Medical Center is a 415-bed academic medical center located in downtown Boston with a wide variety of tertiary and quaternary programs. Qualified candidates will be eligible for a faculty position at Tufts University School of Medication at the appropriate academic rank.
This full-time position entails inpatient psychiatric consultations for our inpatient medical and surgical services and specialized outpatient psychiatric consultations for services including Transplant Services at Tufts Medical Center. The C-L psychiatrist will work with the Division Chief of Consultation-Liaison and Psychiatric Emergency Services for Tufts Medicine System to provide high quality psychiatry consultations in a multidisciplinary team. Additional responsibilities include clinical and didactic training of medical students, adult psychiatry residents, triple board residents, and nurse practitioners with opportunities for research for those with specific research interests.
Who you are:
Completion of a psychiatry residency in an ACGME approved residency program
BC/BE in Adult psychiatry
BC/BE in C-L psychiatry or experience in C-L psychiatry
Both Transplant and Addiction psychiatry experience will be highly valued
Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the State of MA and have a valid DEA certificate
