Boston University Academic Gastroenterologist, Gastroenterology, Boston University Medical Group in BOSTON, Massachusetts
We are seeking a Medical Director for the Crohn’s & Colitis Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC). Our mission is to provide holistic, team-based care to patients of all backgrounds with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Being located at a large safety net hospital, we are perfectly positioned to care for a diverse patient population and embrace the challenges of serving a largely underserved and underprivileged patient population. If this resonates with you, we encourage you to give us a look.
The Crohn’s & Colitis Program at BMC is supported by a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team. This includes administrative staff, a clinical psychologist, clinical pharmacologist, pharmacology technician, IBD nurse, advanced practice provider and dietician. We share clinic space with our colleagues in Colorectal Surgery, allowing us to offer “one stop” coordinated care to meet our patients’ medical and surgical needs.
Candidates for this position must be committed to patient care and trainee education and should be an experienced clinical investigator and/or basic science researcher. The Director will be tasked with growing the Program and is expected to manage IBD patients in clinic while also actively participating in the clinical and educational responsibilities shared by all the faculty of the Section.
We know that providing exceptional care for patients begins with caring for our faculty and staff. That's why we focus a great deal on wellness, vitality and engagement. You'll find a supportive work environment at BMC, with rich opportunities throughout your career for training, professional development, and growth and where you'll have the tools and institutional support you need to take charge of your own practice environment. There's never been a better or more exciting time to become a member of the BMC family.
