Position Summary

Join a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna’s exciting and growing Medicare business. The colleague’s primary focus will be on modelling and understanding Part D trends and emerging experience - including secular trends, seasonality, changes in drug mix, and interactions with clinical and network strategies.

This role leverages multiple data sources to develop projections and evaluate historical experience. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills to ensure efficient use of available resources.

  • Possess and leverage strong communication and networking skills to effectively collaborate across teams and business areas.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on assigned projects/concepts and integrate individual results with work performed by others.

  • Anticipate and recognize matters that materially affect financial results and develop sound, unbiased recommendations on how to resolve these matters.

  • Leverage strong technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree along with 3+ years related experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

  • Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python a plus; working with large and detailed data sets is required

  • Strong communication skills

  • Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicare Part D or pharmacy pricing experience preferred

  • ASA or near-ASA (also willing to consider well-qualified candidates without actuarial credentials or not on the actuarial exam track)

Education- Bachelor's degree

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$63,300.00 - $136,500.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
