The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is the main liaison between Clorox’s Customers and Sales teams and the PSO Functional teams. The SCM is responsible for managing relationships with the customer, understanding customer(s) requirements, and ensuring that those requirements are met. The SCM plays a critical role in facilitating the execution of merchandising events by working with Sales to understand needs, ensuring item and system setup, tracking event execution, and resolving issues. Being able to successfully work across multiple PSO functional teams to drive to a solution will be critical.
SCM will collaboration with the customer on supply chain efficiencies as well as planning and forecasting (CPFR) to drive growth. For example, the SCM will analyze inventory levels within the customer’s system and provide the customer with recommendations to meet the customer’s inventory and service level targets.
Key Responsibilities (in descending order of importance):
Percent of time
CPFR and collaboration to drive sales growth through “one supply chain” approach
Support merchandising events
Monitor supply chain performance for customer(s); conduct regular internal and external review meetings; develop action plans as appropriate
Resolve repetitive/structural supply chain issues with customer(s)
Support product introductions, product transitions, and/or network changes (e.g. opening/closing of warehouse) with customer(s)
Identify cost savings opportunities
Communicate program changes (e.g. CPU, DSD) to customer(s)
Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
3 years of experience in customer service, sales or supply chain
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
5 years of experience in customer service, sales or supply chain
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, creatively, and efficiently with minimal direction in an unstructured environment
Ability to influence and sell (i.e. sell a service, plan, volume, idea)
Ability to work collaboratively within and outside of Product Supply
Ability to effectively influence individuals and teams without formal control (i.e. influence mgt)
Strong planning and organization skills:
Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
Experience using Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word
Experience in identifying, initiating, and driving improvements to processes and work streams
High School Degree or Equivalent
