LSEG Senior Software Engineer in Bengaluru, India

Role Summary

Our group is passionate about delivering production features to improve the quality of content we make available to our customers. The Refinitiv Content Intelligence Platform team are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Software Engineer.

Are you a self-motivated and driven technologist able to work independently and in collaboration with other technologists across multiple time zones and regions? If so, we are looking for someone like you with the ability to take on board these responsibilities and possess these skills.

Role Responsibilities

The candidate will be required to provide production implementations of solutions for scale and performance. They will be able to debug for content, functional and non-functional performance, working closely with Data Scientists, Content Analysts and Server Side QAs.

As part of production implementations you will need to:

  • Develop and work in a microservices environment

  • Work with fellow engineers and architects to review, design and implement own code

  • Work with core development team to extend platform features

You will also be cloud competent and perform:

  • Server configuration on AWS

  • Installation of open source and licensed software on servers

It is also expected that the successful candidate will be able to build from component parts, or configure off the shelf tools to support data extraction, annotation and evaluation.

The ability to problem solve and work with colleagues to meet customer outcomes is a plus.

Required Skills

  • Python (at expert level)

  • Collaborative Software Development e.g. GitLab, GitHub

  • Scrum and Agile

  • ETL / Data Preparation / Pre-Processing

  • SQL and NoSQL e.g. Elasticsearch

Preferred Skills

  • Data Science exposure and NLP algorithms

  • Basic understanding of statistics

  • Java, Flask, Node.js

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree or above

  • A minimum of 5 years of meaningful experience
