The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing to patients in a Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH), acting under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This position will assist in managing unit nursing, participate as a member of the treatment team, and assist in providing short-term psychiatric care to patients in a hospital setting.

Community Behavioral Health Hospitals (CBHH) are 16-bed inpatient psychiatric facilities for adults experiencing a serious mental health episode. The length of stay is usually less than 60 days, during which treatment focuses on stabilization, patient education, and discharge planning involving community support resources, with the overall goal of preventing future episodes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

  • ** Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Patient care experience within a mental health or behavioral health setting.
