Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Strategic Planning will sit in the Network Performance & Execution organization, supporting execution of cross line-of-business initiatives and serving as a primary liaison for the Regional Councils among Network, segment, Clinical, and other business partners. Responsibilities may include:
Maintaining and updating Network regional strategic vision materials, business cases, and roadmaps for key initiatives, including coordination with impacted business units
Upon approval of business cases, translating opportunities into practical execution through in-depth understanding of process flow, project plans, and end goals.
Supporting the Network organization to drive prioritization, performance, innovation, and growth, bringing external research, stakeholder feedback, and operational insights to drive growth and performance improvement strategies
Collaborating across the Network Performance & Execution organization on goal setting and tracking, cross-portfolio initiatives, executive presentation support, and serving as key support in Regional Council and related leadership and other governance meetings.
Preferred Location: Hartford, CT - hybrid. Other locations will be considered.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of:
Healthcare industry basics. How do health plans work, how do networks work, where is value generated across the value chain, what are the key levers that drive decision making by healthcare leadership
Project and Process Management
Skill In:
8-10 years of experience with -
Stakeholder management. Knowing how to work with a wide array of stakeholders, including those who are much more senior, to collect information, drive consensus, and develop recommendations
Research and hypothesis development. Ability to take ambiguous prompts and turn them into discrete recommendations
Advanced PPT and Excel. Ability to develop executive-level presentations and analysis
Ability To:
Work independently with little initial guidance. Knowing how and when to bring in external review
Formulate ideas and innovate without prompting
Translate potential opportunity into tangible roadmap
Understand current state of healthcare and our functional performance and its impact to our business while identifying emerging trends and prioritizing opportunities to improve
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Commercial, IFP, Medicare and/or Medicaid lines of business
Multi-year strategic planning experience.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience.
MBA and/or prior consulting experience preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $199,144.80
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
