This role involves development of system of systems (SoS) models using SysML language and methods for product requirements validation and verification leveraging MBSE best practices. This role is also responsible for demonstrating the capability and advantage of MBSE to product development team. The role seeks a highly motivated individual keen on learning new technologies and solving engineering challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop descriptive model for SoS:

  • Develop SoS models for conventional, hybrid, and electrified HVAC-R, Auxiliary power units, Battery electric systems using Cameo System Modeler (Magic Cyber System Engineer) or other SysML based modelling tools.

  • Develop requirements mode to support requirements decomposition into system and sub-system level requirements and allocation to system and sub-systems starting from customer needs

  • Develop functional and logical architecture model to support decomposition of system in to sub systems and components

  • Develop SoS models for various perspectives of a system using requirements, design engineering documents and system or sub-system interface artefacts

  • Establish bidirectional trace between system models and requirements/design artefacts/V&V artefacts

  • Integrate descriptive model with system engineering, analytical modelling, and PLM tools/artefacts for seamless flow of system information across engineering disciplines and functions

  • Integrate SoS models with physics based plant models and control models existing in other modelling environment viz. Dymola, Simulink for co-simulation based automated requirements validation and verification

  • Establish connection between system model and requirements management tools viz. IBM DOORS, Polarion through appropriate APIs/plugins

  • Establish connection between system model and PLM tools with appropriate APIs/plugins

  • Provide SysML language and related modelling tool expertise to Model Based System Engineering teams

  • Identify, propose and implement model based engineering methods in system engineering life cycle

  • Work with system engineers globally on challenging system engineering problems and develop appropriate MBSE methodologies

  • Strategize SysML based model asset life cycle management
