Job Summary

To Support New product development, new technology investigation, Quality & reliability issues, and value engineering & value analysis projects through Product development & Structural simulation activities.

Key Competencies

• Hands on experience in DFMEA, DVP, and test plan development.

• Knowledge of compressors used for refrigerant applications

• Exposure to study of manufacturability of new design, knowledge on Casting process will be an added advantage

• Hands on experience in designing a structural component (load bearing, joint loads, welding, supports and bolting) for the product.

• Demonstrates ability to identify root cause of a problem and take effective action to solve problems.

• Exposure to prototyping and testing.

Responsibilities

• Should be able to provide design solutions to Compressor products and involve in developmental activities for multiple projects such as Value Engineering, Quality & Reliability, and NPD’s. .

• Should have good hands-on experience in structural simulations and hand calculations and provide solutions to the customers with detailed report and maintain QDC=100%.

• Able to develop proper test planning to structural component/assembly testing and should have good knowledge in test data interpretation and able to take decision and should effectively communicate to the customers.

• Should be able to solve people and project related issues. Interact with cross functional & cross regional teams to execute the activities of project. Provide updates on progress or significant project issues to project team (ETC and SBU)

• Develop and maintain review effectiveness and quality adherence matrices. Prepare methodology documents, best practices and provide design improvement recommendations. Coach and Mentor engineers in the team. Collaborate with Internal and external customers on regular basis

Qualifications

• BE degree/ Master in mechanical / Automobile engineering with strong academics.

• 5-10 Years of Compressor or rotating equipment Industry Experience
