Job Summary:

In this role, you will be part of Trane Technologies’ Data Engineering team, providing solutions and data to enable Trane Technologies to achieve premier performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and other data solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate should have strong coding skills, experience with data engineering concepts, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities:

· Design, build, and maintain data processing systems on GCP.

· Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand their data requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs.

· Develop and implement data pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

· Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance and scalability.

· Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure data quality and availability.

· Work closely with the DevSecOps team to ensure data infrastructure is secure, reliable, and highly available.

· Continuously research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve data processing and analytics capabilities.

· Participate in code reviews to ensure that ETL and database components conform to global standards.

· Follow standard Software Development Lifecycle practices in the development of ETL and database objects.

Key Competencies:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 10+ years of experience with data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.

· 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP and its technologies such as Big Query, Data fusion, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.

· Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Spark, or Scala.

· Experience with DevOps tools and techniques (e.g., CI/CD, GitHub, VSCode preferred, Terraform, etc.).

· Experience using Agile methodology to perform software development.

· Knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards.

· Knowledge of SQL and database design principles.

· Understanding of Business Intelligence Dimensional Modeling, Star Schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions.

Qualifications:

· Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies.

· Certifications in GCP.
