Job Title: Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Job & Division Summary:

Responsible for Customer order Execution /Product engineering / CAD modelling / technical Documentation and calculations related to highly customized and high-quality products spread across industrial engineering sectors. Provide engineering support for internal and external needs. Apply product knowledge to develop innovative solutions and technical support to other functions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Design Engineering support to Dehydration/ Dryer products.

  • Setup a skid design based on the customer specifications and the IR standards.

  • Working experience in a multi-disciplined manufacturing environment.

  • Responsible to execute Engineering Change Request / Notice (ECR/ECN).

  • Create 3D models and Drawings, Bill of Materials in SAP, and other engineering documents.

  • Responsible for producing and editing P&IDs of skid packages.

  • Familiarity with sheet metal design, piping systems, and drafting standards.

  • Provide technical support for performance optimization/ design enhancement for existing Products.

  • Work closely with global teams and communicate project requirements/updates through virtual meetings and mail.

  • Work independently with global engineering team & providing updates on regular basis.

Mandatory/ Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with 3D software such as Autodesk Inventor, 2D software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Products Including (Excel, Word, & Outlook).

  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.

  • Understanding design tolerances and welding symbols.

  • Self-starter and ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Must be detail oriented and well organized.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required.

  • Knowledge of drawing systems (creation, documentation, and archiving).

  • Good communication skills (Read & Write).

Desired skills:

  • Data handling on PLM/PDM system.

  • Experience with the use of an ERP / MRP system.

  • Modelling & drafting on Creo.

Basic Qualifications: Full time B.E (Mech Eng) in regular course from recognized institute and university.

Experience: - 3 - 5 years-experience in an OEM environment with design experience as followed:

  • Custom design of machines and specialized design of mechanical systems (e.g. Dryers, refrigeration system layout, pressure vessel assemblies etc)

  • Mechanical piping systems (joining techniques welding, mechanical fastening etc) – High pressure design applications using steel pipes, stainless steel, and copper.

  • Welded steel structures for supporting rotating machinery.

  • Layout and arrangement of P&ID’s

  • General machine assembly techniques and working with manufacturing department to structure BOM’s a requirement.

  • Integrating components into a packaged system including valves, compressors, vessels, piping, and electrical routing a plus.

  • Knowledge of HVAC & refrigeration systems is a plus.
