Job Summary:

This key team member will support design and engineering efforts for New Product Development (NPD) / Engineered to order (ETO) Projects / Life cycle Engineering (LCE) projects to deliver as directed by Product and Project teams.

This person must be a team player, form strong ties with others, manage a multitude of tasks, communicate clearly, and be effective and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualification:

B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university with 2-5 years of experience in product design and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Support design and engineering efforts for assigned NPD/ETO/LCE projects

  • Deliver component, assembly or System Level design tasks, commitments & participate in reviews

  • Create / improve product design data as required – CAD design of Progressive cavity pump products, assemblies and components, complicated layout and detail drawings, bills of material (3D models, 2D drawings, Bills of Material, etc.)

  • Ensure project milestones and deliverables with agreed Quality, Delivery, cost for all phases of project

Essential Skills:

  • Strong in Mechanical engineering fundamentals, design, engineering drawing

  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling and drafting, GD&T, Inventor and AutoCAD experience.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Thorough knowledge of drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, engineering terms, bills of materials, proper use of material, GD&T, and engineering reference books and catalogs.

  • Experience assisting in preparing detailed documents for projects that support the design, cost, bill of materials, and project timetables.

  • Good time management ability

  • Ability to work well in a team environment, to take direction, and to direct the work of others.

  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Ownership mindset, one who can lead the task and work with cross function team to maintain project goal on specified time

  • Conversant with Microsoft tools – Word, Excel, PPT, MSP

Key Competencies:

  • Strong 3D / 2D CAD working knowledge (Solid modeling, drafting, assembly).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a global environment across different time zones.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage time and complete simultaneous multiple assignments.

  • Experience in the Pump industry is an added advantage.

  • Windchill & SAP experience is also an added advantage

Tools:

  • Inventor – Solid and Surface Model, Assembly and Drawing

  • AutoCAD
