The Role: Cloud Security Architect

The Team: The Global Mobility Cloud Security Architecture and Engineering team is responsible for the day to day Security standards, governance and Security solutions and reporting for the Global Mobility Division.

The Impact: The Security Architect role is a division wide role that will work with key senior stakeholders, including the BISO and CISO, across the business to ensure compliance with various internal, regulatory and business requirements.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Security Architect to join our team. As a Senior Cloud Security Architect working in AWS, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security architecture of our cloud-based solutions. You will ensure that our cloud infrastructure is secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure cloud architectures and strategies for applications running on AWS.

  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the protection of our cloud infrastructure.

  • Conduct risk assessments and threat modelling to identify and mitigate potential security risks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the cloud development and deployment processes.

  • Work closely with Cyber Risk & Compliance team to meet regulatory, certification requirements such as ISO 27001, SOC2 Type 2 and TISAX and customer security requirements

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security to development, operations, and security teams.

  • Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and processes to enhance our cloud security posture.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as SOX, ISO 9001, and NIST guidelines.

  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, and procedures.

  • Conduct regular security reviews, audits, and assessments to identify and address security vulnerabilities.

  • Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies in the AWS ecosystem.

  • Mentor and train junior security team members, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10 - 15 years of Extensive experience in cloud security architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.

  • Deep understanding of AWS services.

  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, principles, and frameworks, such as OWASP, NIST, and CIS.

  • Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and identity management.

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing secure cloud architectures and solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, capable of articulating complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and ISO 9001, ensuring compliance and security alignment with industry regulations.

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are highly desirable.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining security documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to mentor and train junior security team members, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
