Aerotek Medical Scheduler in Baltimore, Maryland

Aston Carter/Aerotek is searching for a Medical Scheduler position located for a client in Baltimore, MD. Please apply if qualified.


Cerner Experience a plus

Performs registration and scheduling of outpatient appointments, charge entry, collection of co-pays and medical records functions. May perform referrals. Verifies patient insurance coverage. Obtains facility and professional services authorizations; may assist patients with obtaining specialty referrals. Communicates facility and professional co-payment or other balance due information to patients/guarantor. Interviews patients to obtain correct demographic and insurance information.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have strong medical scheduling experience/phone experience/copays/prior auths etc.

Experience with Cerner is a plus

Education/Knowledge: equivalent or High School certificate

Experience: 1+ years as medical secretary/front desk/scheduler within healthcare

Schedule 1st shift
