Records Retention Manager

As the project-based Records Retention Manager, play a central role in creating efficient documentation and records keeping operations by overseeing the design and implementation of filing procedures.

Who you will be working with

With more than 40 years of established stewardship in the Great State of Texas, this agency serves as a retirement system for volunteer firefighters and first responders.

Major duties

  • Establish a records retention process by identifying and designing best practices for records managements processes

  • Identify vital records to create and maintain the agency’s disaster recovery plans

  • Oversee the classification, storage, access and retrieval of agency records

  • Create retention and disposal schedule and processes

  • Oversee the design and implementation of filing systems and procedures

What are we looking for?

  • Requires working knowledge of Freedom of Information Act

  • High level proficiency in records retention

  • Prior professional experience in information records keeping processes

About this position

  • Rate: $34.00 per hour

  • Length of engagement: Three months with possibility to extend for project completion

  • Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Schedule to be determined.

  • Location: Austin, TX, onsite
