Citizens Consumer Operations Strategy Senior Analyst in Austin, Texas
The Consumer Operations Strategy Senior Analyst plays a lead role within the Consumer Operations Forecasting and Performance Reporting team by developing asset quality analytics and reporting in support of Citizens Consumer Loan Portfolios. The individual works closely with Collections & Recovery personnel to identify performance opportunities and gaps across the Consumer Loan portfolios, with an objective of improving overall loan loss performance. Individual will use data mining tools including SAS, SQL, Web FOCUS, DBeaver and Tableau to extract, format and present information to line of business management to provide transparency of operations in support of line of business needs. Data mining and analysis will be in support of collections, delinquency, charge-off, recovery, staffing and loss forecasting. Responsibilities include:
Working closely with Strategy Analytics, Operations and Business Line management and personnel to identify risks and opportunities and obtain reporting/analytics requirements.
Develop reporting and data extracts using SAS, SQL, or Tableau and incorporate into production using the defined COFPR report development life cycle
Perform back-up role to key COFPR functions including line of business Forecasting cadence and Capacity Modelling cadence.
Data mining and analytics in support of adhoc initiatives for the Collections and Recovery functions. This includes regulatory, audit, enterprise-wide and product specific performance initiatives
Assist in the migration of production COFPR SAS library from existing data sources to the AWS Cloud data sources. This includes research and validation of newly created AWS source data in support of adhoc initiatives.
Requires in depth conceptual and practical knowledge of Consumer Lending collections and recovery activity
Ability to integrate technological, organizational and presentation skills to achieve group objectives
Advanced working knowledge SAS code to mine data and produce analytics in support of line of business requirements
Ability to partner with a variety of stakeholders to achieve common business objectives
Identify and resolve business problems utilizing data mining and analytics
Must communicate business concepts and key business drivers effectively to a wide audience including senior management and diverse stakeholders
10-15 years Financial Industry experience
10-15 years Consumer Collections/Operations experience
7-10 years practical SAS/SQL/WebFocus experience
Willingness to learn new data mining and presentation software as required
