SKILLS INC Aerospace - Finish Quality Manager 1st Shift - (Monday - Friday; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) in AUBURN, Washington

JOB SUMMARYAs part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Finish Quality Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is expected to work with the Director of Quality and Plant Managers to oversee and support the Skills Inc. Auburn North and Seattle, coatings and deburr inspection functions. The Finish Quality Manager shall be the primary point of contact for customer and supplier inquires, audits, and process improvement activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESDevelop and maintain training curriculum and OJT methodology to support inspector competency..and.nbsp;Forecast staffing requirements and work with HR to have sufficient inspection staff identified and trained to meet production needs..and.nbsp;Write operator work instructions and inspection documents to ensure compliance with product, process and system requirements..and.nbsp;Conduct Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), 5-Why Analysis, or similar systematic approach to investigate and solve product and process nonconformities..and.nbsp;Assess quality performance trends and lead corrective action efforts..and.nbsp;Refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles and techniques..and.nbsp;Analyze purchase orders, drawings, and specifications to identify product and process requirements..and.nbsp;Lead and conduct internal, customer and third party product, process and quality system audits..and.nbsp;Provide technical support and training to coworkers, customers, and suppliers..and.nbsp;SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESIs responsible for direct supervision of department employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThorough knowledge of chemical processing, surface enhancement, and painting specifications, product drawings, and engineering requirements..and.nbsp;Thorough knowledge of AS9100 and Nadcap quality system requirements..and.nbsp;In-depth knowledge of quality engineering theories, principles, inspection techniques, tools and equipment..and.nbsp;Solution oriented, able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to solve a wide range of difficult problems in practice and cost effective ways..and.nbsp;Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), 5-Why Analysis, or similar systematic approach to problem solving..and.nbsp;Ability to write clear, accurate, comprehensive and concise documents, formatted to increase information accessibility and grammatically correct..and.nbsp;Ability to lead and facilitate team meetings..and.nbsp;Ability to provide direction and guidance and lead cross-functional teams..and.nbsp;Experienced in developing win-win relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and auditors..and.nbsp;Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel..and.nbsp;Accepting of criticism and ability to deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations..and.nbsp;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented, and ability to deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.<
