Position Title: Inventory Manager, Supply Chain

Location: Atlanta, GA

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Transformation

Job Summary:

The Inventory Manager will play an integral role in helping the company achieve its ambition by executing projects for the disposition of Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory Newell-wide. The Manager will have a deep understanding of supply and/or demand planning and will be able to lead key reduction initiatives within a division or across multiple divisions. This role, quantitative in nature, will also own KPI management across various projects. As an integral part of the Supply Chain COE, the role will be highly visible with impact across all Newell Divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the COE projects in conjunction with Division supply chain teams and Transformation

• Develop disposition strategy for items across all material types

• Act as subject matter expert on E&O planning & policies for all of Newell Brands

• Is an integral part of a cross functional project to ensure delivery of project milestones while achieving expected productivity objectives

• Is comfortable with uncertainty / changes to the plan

• Displays flexibility required to adjust to shifts in broader program priorities or external landscape dynamics

• Identifies, builds, and tracks KPIs & metrics to track progress across various projects

• Liase with Data Science team on key inventory information needed across Divisions

• Executes project deliverables in alignment with project plan expectations

• Professionally challenges current and/or traditional ways of thinking and lead new ways/approaches

Key Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be an established practitioner with a proven track record delivering results within the End-to End Supply Chain. The successful candidate must be technically competent within a supply chain vertical. Finally, being hands-on and comfortable with tactical execution while working on projects of strategic importance.

• BS/BA or University degree

• 2-4 years experience in a Supply Chain (preferably supply or demand planning) in the field or within a headquarter function or in a top tier consulting firm executing Supply Chain projects

• Hands-on experience driving change: looking for a leader comfortable with doing the work required to analyze and identify both problems and solutions (not just direct others in analyses)

• 2+ years experience leading or executing projects in a supply chain or finance-focused vertical

• Strong character, ability to champion the right decision in difficult situations

• Demonstrated track record of effectively building partnerships and managing and resolving challenges

• 2+ years experience in Supply Chain systems including but not limited to Power BI, SAP, Oracle, JDE, SAS, Manugistics, and Teradata

• Intermediate level skills developing analysis in Excel and/or MS Access

• Intermediate level skills developing presentations in MS Powerpoint

• Ability to work with and connect with all levels of employees

• Strong planning & organizing skills

• Initiative & follow-up, including a strong sense of autonomy

• Demonstrated problem solving skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously

• Ability to travel up to 25% to Division locations across the US
