Data Management & Insights (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs.

The Business Risk Initiatives Consultant is a key role in DMI’s Enterprise Support function. This role serves as a thought leader and consultant to DMI teams and leadership, and is the single point of contact for DMI as well as key internal and external partners. This role is responsible for centralized coordination and implementation of Enterprise Risk activities across DMI functions and teams; providing execution oversight, coordination, and planning on key DMI-wide risk initiatives. They will act as a subject matter expert on risk initiatives and related topics, and will collaborate with DMI teams and their leadership, and key partner teams, including; enterprise risk, BCP, RRP, and Policy teams. This role will ensure that DMI implements the proper monitoring and metrics as well as coordinated communication and routine meetings to support the deployment and ongoing maintenance of risk frameworks. Additionally, this role may recommend continuous process improvements, identify risk control enhancements, and drive solutions for a stronger control environment on behalf of DMI.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead cross-functional teams with varying levels of seniority and experience to support DMI-wide programs including; Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP), Attestation Support, Risk Control Self Assessments, and various Policy Compliance Activities.

  • Coordination of enterprise risk and related business process management

  • Business Continuity Planning (BCP) - Manage routines, communication, and coordination across DMI with respect to Plan Profile Exercise and Maintenance Activities, Records Verification, and Annual Refresh Activities among others.

  • Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) – lead cross-functional teams to complete RRP initiatives such as quarterly key roles identification.

  • Policy Compliance Support Activities – Support Policy compliance through identification, discovery, cataloging, and communication across DMI, Including regular routines with key partners, DMI functional leaders, and SMEs.

  • Enterprise Risk Identification (ERID) - Support our Control Executive partners in planning and communication of ERID assessment and assist in leadership attestation process.

  • Manage programs for the Enterprise Support Team through prioritization of initiatives and coordination of necessary teams and resources across DMI.

  • Establish & prepare necessary reporting and metrics to support oversight and monitoring

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

  • 3+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts

  • 3+ years of project management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to consult with business partners to define key performance metrics, dashboards or scorecards
