Analyst, Actuarial (Credentialed)

Job Group Summary :

Actuaries are the financial architects of our company. They plan and maintain a framework for our financial integrity to help us meet customer needs and deliver shareholder value.

Family Summary/Mission :

Overall mission of Actuarial is to protect Aetna's financial integrity with sound reserving and risk management practices as well as product designs that meet customer needs and pricing that produces returns to shareholders commensurate with the risks undertaken. Actuarial is responsible for anticipating and recognizing matters that materially affect financial integrity and making sound, unbiased reports on these issues.

Position Summary :

  • Support the Southeast markets, accountable for forecasting and reporting, respectively for the Commercial fully-insured market.

  • Responsible for actuarial functions by applying quantitative skills and analytical methods to well defined projects.

  • Set own priorities within pre-established overall deadlines.

  • Use strong technical skills in a functional manner and demonstrate fundamental business and product knowledge.

  • Act with some direction from supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least one Actuarial exam passed

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Similar or relevant Actuarial experience preferred.

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, and VBA

Education and Certification Requirements :

  • College degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.80

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
