OUR BANK - The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States and is one of the most influential, trusted, and prestigious financial organizations. It consists of twelve Reserve Banks located around the country and the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta territory covers the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which includes Alabama, Florida, and Georgia, and portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The Atlanta Fed and the other Reserve Banks play an important part in all three of the Fed's functions: monetary policy, bank supervision and regulation, and the operation of a nationwide payment system.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS - Public Affairs protects and strengthens the Atlanta Fed's reputation by communicating the Bank's mission to policymakers, the business and banking communities, and the general public.
The Public Affairs Intern will have the opportunity to work across the department assisting in marketing plans, writing promotional materials for museum visits and economic education workshops, and assisting in special promotional campaigns.
* Applicants who have graduation dates of December 2020, May 2021 or May 2022 are eligible to apply.
* Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a Bachelor or Graduate degree program through the duration of the internship. * A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. * Must be committed to working a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during the summer months. * Preferred majors include: communications, marketing, public relations or a related field
