Job Summary ：
Applies engineering/construction principles and practices for work on assigned projects.
Designs cost effective construction solutions to meet project requirements.
Works directly on the project team to assist Project Manager with project commissioning.
In addition, this role is responsible for projects that have the following criteria:
Assigned to Complex Solutions projects, Turnkey orlarge Controls under the direction of a Project Manager II or Project Manager III.
Works on low risk sections of the project scope; non-complex and or the tasks are generally repetitive in nature.
Spends the majority of the time in the field at the jobsite and provides daily reporting as directed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
Ensures that safety and quality standards are maintained for assigned projects.
Responsible for planning, analyzing and timely completion of assigned activities
Communicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, subcontractors, and field support staff.
Ensures compliance with internal contracting processes.
Support the Project Manager in establishing an operations budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope.
Support Project Manager in validating and establishing project installation budgets.
Oversees the following: preparation of Trane material and vendor orders; recording the receipt of materials and
Support the Project manager in preparing the sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including: scope statements; plans and milestone dates; specs; bonding requirements; and billing schedule of values.
Supervises work of project assigned staff, subcontractors and installers.
Generates technician work orders and prioritize tasks.
Support Project Manager in change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders.
Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers or their representative.
Establishes a professional relationship with the customer and interfaces constantly to maintain accurate status reports and project reviews.
Supports the transition of warranty to the service process.
Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
Some travel with overnight stays.
Bachelor’sdegree or equivalentconstruction management experience and 4+years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of MicrosoftProject andOffice products and engineering drawing tools. Some computer programming experience is required. Familiarity with the concepts ofmechanical and electrical systems as well asconstruction, renovation/retrofit; performance contracting, and service project management.
Must possess the communication skills and level of literacy, scientific knowledge and mathematical skills commensurate with the completion of4 years of collegeor higher level education. Must have a general knowledge of basic engineering, electricity, mechanical HVAC systems and the building construction industry.
Prefer experience and knowledge in using Project Management Tools (CPM, PERT, Gantt Charts); knowledge of Microsoft Office, Primavera Expedition, Microsoft Project Manager or P3/Suretrak and familiarity with financially guaranteed contracts, the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems.
