Job Description:

As a Senior Project Manager, Federal PMO with Cerner, you will plan and direct the work of project teams and cross-functional support teams, acting as the main point of contact for internal teams and project stakeholders. Oversee creation and approval of detailed project plans, schedules and estimates, providing guidance and influencing adherence to established best practices and processes to drive successful outcomes. Review and approve project team work to ensure adherence to scope, quality and productivity expectations and implement additional processes or reviews as needed to address systemic or recurring issues. Conduct risk analysis for identified and anticipated project risks and lead risk avoidance or mitigation strategies to minimize project impact. Lead internal project meetings to provide updates to stakeholders on progress against critical paths and milestones, key operational and financial measures and risk assessments. Engage and manage third party resources as needed to support project objectives. Seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments. Provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development. Identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 8 years total combined higher education and related work experience including;

  • At least 2 years project/program management work experience

  • At least 6 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job

  • ​​​​​​​Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position

  • Due to the client contract you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Health Care, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field
