Job Summary
Ready to make a difference providing treatment to some of Minnesota’s most vulnerable adults? Tired of hours spent in prior authorization calls and utilization reviews? Wish you could spend time treating patients over weeks instead of days in an inpatient setting? Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) has an opportunity for a skilled and compassionate psychiatrist to provide quality care as part of an interdisciplinary team. As the attending psychiatrist, you will be working with individuals who suffer from serious and persistent mental illness and providing treatment collaboratively with psychiatric and primary care practitioners, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals. The psychiatrist will provide direct care in addition to clinical direction and leadership to an interdisciplinary team, overseeing assessment and treatment coordination by psychiatric and primary care APRNs, psychology, social work, and allied health team members.
As part of the Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) administration; Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Services (MHSATS) division, AMRTC is a 96-bed modern tertiary care teaching hospital, which provides hospital care to adults with mental illness and substance use disorders (often co-occurring), as well as other complex health conditions. AMRTC is the hub of a state psychiatric care network including 7 smaller hospitals and a wide range of community-based resources. Multidisciplinary teams provide care guided by evidence-based practices and a person-centered treatment philosophy.
