nVent Production Supervisor - 2nd shift in Anoka, Minnesota

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Directly lead production employees in assigned Value Stream, including training, directing, conducting performance reviews, educating, and mentoring on performance.
Look after day-to-day production activities within the value stream(s) to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.
Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards daily.
Partner with human resources on employee relations to ensure accurate procedures and practices are followed.
Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology.
Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and supports nVent's safety programs.
Review and submit payroll hours on a weekly basis, entering exception hours as needed.
Support new process and product development and implementation
Develops key improvement projects and fulfills related duties as needed
YOU HAVE:
High school diploma or G.E.D
5 plus years manufacturing experience, with a preference for manufacturing leadership experience
Experienced with operating computers specifically Windows platform, Word and Excel, and JD Edwards
Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.
Skilled at effective communications at both technical and leadership levels. Skills must include good interpersonal expertise, professional speaking capabilities, and ability to understand information and ideas as presented.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet a target date.
Ability to adapt to business circumstances; be willing adapt in a continuously developing business environment
