The Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (CARE) program in Anoka has a rewarding career opportunity for a leader who is dedicated to helping people who struggle with chemical use and addiction reclaim their lives. CARE Anoka provides inpatient and outpatient services and specializes in delivering integrated treatment to adults and adolescents with chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health challenges.

As a LADC Supervisor, you will lead a team in the delivery of treatment services. All services are person-centered, building on the individual's interests and capacity for growth, leading to a lifelong process of recovery. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the variety of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment activities; including but not limited to client programming coverage and client case management duties as needed.

  • Provide clinical supervision for chemical dependency counseling services so that professionalindependent counseling and case management are offered to clientele often with co-existing mood andthought disorders as well as other mental health issues.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a treatment milieu that is therapeutic in nature, as well asfiscally viable.

  • Maintain records and prepare reports on department activities.

  • Participate in assigned meetings.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff members, public and private agencies,employers, community leaders, and general public; including but not limited to contact with higherlearning agencies to interview and supervisor internships as needed.

  • Complement the supervisor in the management of the treatment program and assume the duties of theProgram Manager in that person’s absence.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, you must:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; AND

  • Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND

  • Have a minimum of three (3) years post-Bachelor's degree experience providing clinical services.

OR

  • Possess a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, behavior analysis, or related field; AND

  • Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor; AND

  • Have a minimum of one (1) year post-Master's degree experience providing clinical services includingindividual and group therapy.

And per MN Statutes, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old; AND

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check; AND

  • Sign a statement attesting that you have been free of chemical use problems for at least two yearsimmediately preceding hire.
