The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center (AMRTC) is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.
The Building Maintenance Supervisor will supervise staff, including development, administration, and supervision of personnel working in the Building Maintenance Department. This position must provide the most effective and efficient service possible for the purpose of providing a safe, secure, clean, and healthy environment for all who use the DCT - AMRTC Campus facilities.
Responsibilities:
Supervises all assigned Physical Plant subordinates so that the mission, goals, and functions of the Department are achieved in a timely and efficient manner.
Supervise all positions by actively engaging with the staff on location where the work is being done.
Ensure that repairs and preventative maintenance programs are conducted in a safe, cost-effective manner.
Supervise all remodeling projects on campus so that the work will be accomplished effectively, on time, and within reasonable costs.
Attend and participate in Physical Plant meetings. Make suggestions on improvements to the facilities and to improve Physical Plant Department productivity.
Be deliberate in fostering positive interpersonal relationships with coworkers, managers, and customers so all are treated in a respectful and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of work experience in installing, calibrating, configuring maintaining and repairing electronics equipment
Power Limited Technician License or Class A Journeyman’s electrical license
AND
Demonstrated leadership experience*
*Leadership experience can include:
Experience as a supervisor, leadworker, team lead, project lead;
Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4);
A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include:
1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions o
100+ hours per year time commitment
