Job Summary:

The Ramp Service Manager is responsible for managing the full spectrum of Pegasus Ground Handling activity to include Ramp Service and Cabin Cleaning. They represent the company in routine daily interactions with customers, airport officials, regulatory agencies and other interested parties.


  • Participate in implementation and enforce company policies and customer service procedures

  • Work directly with the customer station representatives

  • Responsible for day to day interface with assigned customers and staff

  • Management and discipline of Ramp and Cabin Service Agents

  • Manage daily work schedules to efficiently address customer requirements

  • Assist in meeting annual company revenue projections through the provision of services to existing customers and expansion of existing contracts

  • Identify prospective companies for new or expanded service lines

  • Assist in the development of proposals to existing and prospective customers

  • Maintain on-going and consistent contact with all existing and prospective customers

  • Represent the company in face-to-face meetings with customers and vendors


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service capabilities essential

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be willing to work in inclement weather

  • Must possess excellent communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Minimum of four years successful experience working in an airport environment with representatives and station employees of major airlines.

  • Must have the ability to work under stressful situations and time constraints

  • Required to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedules

  • Must be able to function effectively in an office environment as well as the AOA and passenger terminal areas.

  • Must be self-motivated team player

Background position skill ranking areas:

Language Skills:

  • Read and interpret documents such as FAR’s, foreign aviation regulations, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.

  • Write routine reports, safety reports, operations procedures and general correspondence.

  • Speak effectively one-to-one and before groups of customers or employees of the organization

  • Communicate with customers within and outside of the United States. These customers include many for whom English is their second language. Applicant must be patient and tolerant of differing cultural values and lingual challenges.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Abilities:

  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Deal with problems involving variables in non-standardized situations.

Physical Demands: moderate.

  • The Ramp Service Manager on occasion may lift or move with help up to 100 pounds, and/or more frequently lift or move 70 to 100 pounds. The Ramp Service Manager is regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, bend stoop, kneel and is frequently required to stand and walk.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.

  • The noise level in the AOA work environment is usually moderate but can vary dramatically depending on location and activity and time of day. Occasionally high noise levels exist where hearing protection is required and provided.

  • The Ramp Service Manager may work outside which would expose them to all types of weather conditions with a seasonal range of temperatures which include rain, snow, wind and extreme temperatures.
