Location: This position is Hybrid, working a minimum of 1 day in the office each week, after training. 4224 Ridge Lea Road, Amherst, NY
Training: The training period is at least the first 4 weeks of employment and is 100% on-site
Hours: Typical hours are flexible between 7:30AM – 4PM and 8:30AM-5:00PM ET Monday through Friday
POSITION SUMMARY
The Escrow Services Team is a group responsible for many complex functions in the life of loan servicing of mortgage and consumer products. The Senior Specialist’s responsibilities include tax payments, PMI billing, and escrow analysis reviews, among other specialized functions.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Review of loans that are receiving a monthly escrow analysis
Research of loans to decipher and interpret tax/insurance increases that have an effect on the overall escrow amount
Ability to monitor and meet strict deadlines around tax processes and regulatory deadlines
Handles escalated inquiries from other lines of business, as well as clients, concerning questions related to the escrow servicing process
Demonstrates proficiency in movement of funds across GLs and associated account balancing functionality
Stays current on all banking and investor regulations, and maintains a strong, risk-averse mindset
Identifies and resolves moderate issues by following established guidelines. Refers more complex problems to Supervisor. Provides service in relation moderate complex billing inquiries, service requests, suggestions and complaints from customers
Recommends and implements programs to solve routine issues and improve processes
Exhibits the independence to work with moderate to limited supervision

May train or assist in training new staff
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of experience in MSP, banking, and mortgage experience is required
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Efficiently navigates multiple computer systems and applications
Digital Literacy in Microsoft Office 365
Demonstrates a solid understanding of accounting principles, loan documentation, banking policies, procedures, government regulations
Proven ability to handle all monetary, processing functions, and high transaction volumes independently and accurately
Interpersonal skills to work with a fully developed work team
Open-minded and able to adapt in a changing environment
A customer-focused approach in all interactions
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Leadership skills
Time management and organizational skills to prioritize and meet production goals and deadlines

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $20.19 to $30.77 per hour depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience.
