Job Description
CVS Health Digital is looking for a dynamic and driven Data Engineer to join our Marketing Technology engineering team with a focus on data quality and orchestration. You will use your data analysis and data transformation skills to assure data quality as we optimize the ingestion of data into our orchestration and customer data platforms. You should have the ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent data engineering and communication skills. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated, collaborative individual; motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.In this role, you will work with a team of data and software engineers to.• Manage the data pipelines and transformations from a variety of sources and assure the data flowing into the MarTech platforms is • A proven track record of manipulating a variety of data sources • Have an understanding of the Adobe Experience Platform or other similar SaaS offerings• Understand how data pipelines work and have the ability to validate expected results• Provide consulting and roadmap support for data ingestion programs• Provide leadership for Digital initiatives/digital transformation for ecommerce leveraging Microservices, open-source frameworks, Cloud technologies• Collaborate with various areas of the organization including business partners, product owners, architecture, security mavens, digital and IT engineering teams• Promote proper implementation of SAFe process techniques• Provide support in all phases of SDLC and ensure to deliver high-quality products• Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggers• Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts• Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results• Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members• Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management• Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes• Testing of the production process to ensure that the product is compliant with company standards/expectations• Recommend preventative actions and ensure that user expectations are met during testing• Data monitoring to ensure data quality
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 70,000
Maximum: 140,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
3+ years development experience on enterprise class applications2+ years of experience validating the data, functionality, or experience in a client and/or webservice2+ years of experience with programming languages/frameworks: Python, Java, J2EE, SpringBoot 1+ years working with Adobe Experience Platform or similar platforms 1+ years of experience working across teams to champion best practices1+ years of experience in partnering with architecture, product and program management teams to influence product development assisting or improving products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with data warehouse/cloud solutions solutions like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or similarExperience with AWS, GCP and other cloud-based servicesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; thrives working in a highly iterative, agile, and open team environmentExpertise in database testing using SQL and UNIX, including: designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replicationGood understanding and working experience in IT Security best practices and other compliance standards such as ADA, HIPAA, PCI DSSExperience in SAFe Agile work environments; certification of SAFe for leaders would be a plusExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; thrives working in a highly iterative, agile, and open team environment
Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience.
