The Parts Clerk/MRO Coordinator works in an office and production environment and supports the maintenance and production staff. The Parts Clerk/MRO Coordinator will be responsible for ordering and maintaining accurate inventory of parts and consumables and facilitating the electronic preventative maintenance program.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchases parts and consumables for entire facility

  • Works with vendors to get appropriate parts in the time required at the best price available

  • Accommodates and escorts vendor representatives during visits

  • Creates purchase orders and works directly with Accounts Payable to provide accurate documents as needed

  • Maintains parts and consumable storage in an accurate and timely manner

  • Maintains the electronic maintenance program including scheduling, creating, modifying, and printing work orders

  • Works directly with departmental managers and maintenance personnel to meet their needs of researching parts, placing orders, and scheduling work orders

  • Accurately keeps records of various data including but not limited to equipment and utility records, wastewater regulatory test results

  • Continuously assesses critical spare parts requirements for all areas on the plant

  • Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues

  • Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive

  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

  • Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgement

  • Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity

  • Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

  • HIRING BONUS - $1,500 awarded after 90 day completion.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 2 years inventory experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency with asset management and material planning software preferred

  • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Demonstrates organizational skills, particularly accuracy and timeliness

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
