The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Production Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Lead cross functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventory.
Develops and maintains operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand.
Maintains relevant planning master data and supports new product introduction and phase-in phase-out material business processes, and associated change management processes.
Provides a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making.
Publishes and presents service and inventory metrics and results.
Identifies and leads projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment. Review and reports on project progress with management.
Works closely with manufacturing to ensure alignment to business requirements by setting and maintaining sufficient inventory levels and lead times.
Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets.
Executing the production planning standard work utilizing supply chain tools, IT systems, and processes.
Utilize Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory.
Utilize Supply Chain parameter management tools to optimize planning parameters (safety stock, lot size, EOQ, Loop & Supermarket, lead time).
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in supply chain management, production operations management, materials management, data analytics or engineering.
Four (4) years of combined experience in supply chain, planning, and/or logistics in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Advanced in Microsoft Suite experience – (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI)
demonstrated course of study in any of those areas as part of a bachelor’s degree program.
Experience working with JDA, SAP, COMS, Figures, GGSM, GDMR, INVENTO, Reporting and Analytics, Power BI, or other execution systems in a private, public, government or military environment.
ASCM (APICS) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred. If not complete at the time this position is assumed, the certification will become part of the employee professional development plan as agreed between management and employee.
Lean Six Sigma or similar expertise, certification and or training.
Strong data mining, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Experience utilizing Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $94,018 - $114,911, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
