The Vice President, Product Innovation is responsible for developing long term product strategy, providing thought leadership, and designing long-term technical plans for all digital products. The role will help set and lead the product vision, product requirements, the development of strategy and roadmaps, and the go-to-market planning and execution for new products. This individual will be part of the IT/Analytics senior Leadership Team and will lead a small, cross functional team working to implement strategy with tight alignment across appropriate internal teams. This small team will work across CDPHP stakeholders and provide insights and leadership to ensure our product vision aligns with strategic needs, that the value proposition is understood, and to assist with product management oversight for the various products needed to achieve our enterprise strategies. The Vice President, Product Innovation will work closely with the Vice President, Product Development to ensure that our internal product development teams, and associated partners, understand the product value, the product roadmap, and are correctly focused on delivering the features and value that our product strategy requires. This individual’s role will require them to understand a broad breadth of product lines that exist today across multiple technology platforms and partners and help craft an overall product strategy.
Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced Degree: MBA or Business discipline is preferred.
Minimum of twenty (20) years of diverse technology experience is required.
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of leadership experience, including, but not limited to; strategy, transformation and execution launching apps, websites and digital experiences from consumer, supplier and B2B perspectives.
Minimum fifteen (15) years of managing vendor relationships is required.
Extensive experience integrating and customizing COTS solutions.
Experience building applications in a heavily regulated industry.
Experience with innovation and ideation methods, such as design thinking.
Extensive experience successfully building, launching and supporting end user applications (including mobile).
Extensive experience successfully running large, distributed teams required.
Knowledge of Data Architecture required.
Extensive experience leading development teams using cloud-based technologies.
Demonstrated ability to provide end-to-end technology support to complex mission-critical functions is required.
Prior experience with mobile app development (iOS, Android, etc.)
Prior exposure of various application architecture frameworks is required.
Prior hands-on experience with various System Development Life Cycle required.
Extensive experience running Agile teams, building MVPs and overall product management.
Prior hands-on progressive experience with following technologies is preferred:
Demonstrated ability to identify weaknesses in workflow and develop and implement process improvements to continually ensure that corporate goals are satisfied.
Demonstrated Superior problem solving skills are must.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills are essential.
Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions.
Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
