Albany Medical Center Training Coordinator in Albany, New York

The Professional Billing Training Coordinator is responsible for the design and delivery of dynamic instruction with emphasis on professional billing functions. Candidates will have demonstrated skills in raising proficiency, building confidence, and developing interpersonal skills of trainees. Ability to monitor and analyze quality metrics and design targeted remediation. Strong commitment to developing ongoing resources in support of individual staff continual improvement goals. This position is responsible for training staff on securing revenue for services provided by Physicians of Albany Med by completing appeals, phone calls, and account review.

  • 3 – 5 years hospital, physician billing or registration

  • Training experience of the adult learner in healthcare setting or similar field

  • Strong computer skills including excel, word, powerpoint and access

  • Proven ability to train and execute strong customer service skill via telephone with ability to exceed expectations

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment; must be able to manage pressure of very tight timeframes to execute task

  • Ability to develop strong training resources to support virtual or in-person training program.

  • Ability to build confidence, raise skill level and promote a productive training and learning environment

  • Experience with monitoring data quality, analyzing and trending

  • Excellent time management and organizational skill

  • Ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusion

  • Good judgement and ability to be resourceful to problem solve; escalate issues as needed

  • Team minded worth ethic
