Responsible for accounting on capital renovation projects for Albany Medical Center and management of utility payment collection and processing for the Albany Med Health System.
Manage / Review requisitions and supplier invoice requests created by Facilities in accordance with contractual obligations and budgetary considerations. Manage / Review the tracking of requisitions through the current business system (Workday). Tracking flow starts with Facilities, Supply Chain and ends with Accounts Payable. Record commitments for contractual obligations. Prepare journal entries for the Ledger System as well as Project Tracking System. Analysis of financial data including actuals, commitments to ensure appropriate accounting and budgeting for capital projects. Manage / Review the tracking of completion for Facilities projects as well as live dates. Prepare Close out of Capital Projects. Manage / Review utility payments for all active accounts in the Albany Med Health System. This includes electronic retrieval of the utility invoices and entry into current business system (Workday). Communicate status of utility payment processing with key staff at affiliate sites and at the utility on an ongoing basis. Resolve payment anomalies that exist with any of the active utility accounts. Work with the Director of Energy Management and third-Party Energy Consultant on hedge purchases. Assist with maintaining internal controls and procedures.
