Salary Range: Min. $31.28/hr - Max $51.61/hr

The Communication Disorders Center is seeking a licensed day Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist desiring diverse clinical opportunities in a fast-paced hospital setting (1-2 days per week). Caseload is primarily on the inpatient adult rehabilitation unit, but may include acute care or outpatient coverage. Includes diagnostic and/or therapeutic responsibilities for patients with primarily speech-language, voice, cognitive disorders. Dysphagia experience preferred but not required. Required qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, NYS licensure in Speech Pathology, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. ASHA membership must be maintained annually. AHA Heartsaver CPR (or higher level) is required and may be obtained post-hire.

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides services and support for individuals with speech, language, voice, communication, and/or swallowing disorders, aimed at the amelioration of difficulties stemming from such disorders. New York State Professional Licensing Standards and Practice Guidelines of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association guide the practice of the Speech-Language Pathologist. The primary responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist are evaluation and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.
