CDPHP Senior Project Manager in Albany, New York

The Senior Project Manager will lead the activities of project definition for highly complex projects and programs in a matrixed organization. Will develop detailed project plans incorporating project milestones, resource allocation and review points for the entire project lifecycle. Manage team to deliver goals of the project. Conducts variance analysis, and makes recommendations to management for alternatives. Provide periodic presentation of Project progress to plan for senior management. Participates in portfolio management processes, to assist in the selection of the most appropriate initiatives.


  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or related field required, or equivalent. Seven (7) years relevant experience may be substituted for degree.

  • Master's degree in related field a plus.

  • PMP Certification required.

  • At least three (3) years of Health Care Industry, Insurance Industry, and Application Development or Technology Industry experience preferred.

  • Minimum of (5) year’s project management experience using formal methodologies required.

  • Experience in Agile, Scrum and Product Management methodologies preferred.

  • Prior experience in managing Digital experience, Portal, Contact Center technologies and Channel engagement is preferred.

  • Formal training in PMI other relevant courses required.

  • Project management for a minimum of eight (8) full lifecycle implementations within the areas of Product Development or Application Development required.

  • Implementation experience using an enterprise-wide project management system required.

  • Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Tasktop and other PPM toolspreferred.

  • Successful experience in product and/or portfolio management required.

  • Demonstrated PC skills required. Extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, workflow, and project management software required.

  • Strong planning and facilitation skills within Information Services required.

  • Effective team leadership skills and proactive project management style required.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills. Strong presentation development and delivery skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage and shift priorities to meet day to day operational needs as well as mandated deadlines.
