U.S. Bank is seeking a talented and experienced data product manager that will focus on building out the strategy for our next generation data pipeline solution.
A Product Manager in talech is a cross-functional collaborator responsible for understanding competitive and customer needs, prioritizing and defining the business product requirements, managing the product life cycle, and working closely with many teams across the talech organization.
This role reports to the Director of Product Management.
You will own and drive parts of our very large and complex Big Data Platform product portfolio that enables talech platforms, systems, and applications with direct business impact.
Experience with cloud based big data platforms leveraging an OLAP data warehouses such as Apache Druid, HBase, Cassandra, Elasticsearch a plus. Additionally experience with batch and streamed processing.
SQL experience will be very useful in this role.
Your relentless focus will be to drive customer adoption, satisfaction, and growth.
You will engage talech business leaders and their extended developer teams to understand their needs, GTM strategy, and jobs to be done, and you will define the vision and roadmap for the portfolio
You will closely work with product managers, software engineers, data and service owners, Security, and several other cross-functional global teams to define, build and execute on key platform capabilities.
Develop platform product vision and deliver on that vision via user experience driven platform design, user requirements, market assessments, scalable delivery plan, and marketing strategy.
Engage customers, partners, and all stakeholders to determine business requirements, technical considerations and strategic objectives.
Collaborate with PM, engineering and operations peers to deliver strategic and tactical plans and objectives. Strive to continuously improve current service visibility, incident response and insights, quality and capabilities through new services or processes.
When required, be hands-on to serve as a product owner on the scrum team(s) and work with engineers to deliver a quality product on time.
Working closely with key customers to envision, plan, and execute along with assigned architecture and consulting resources.
Bachelor's degree in technical field
Eight to ten years of related work experience
Comprehensive knowledge of the assigned business line and technical marketing skills
Strong product management, design and development skills
Thorough knowledge of product/program development, pricing, implementation and strategic analysis
Demonstrated marketing and marketing research skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial and competitive analysis and computer skills
Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Study market trends and market segmentation to determine a strategy and product roadmap for our reporting products to ensure we continuously evolve to meet emerging consumer needs and take advantage of new technology
Communicate the big data product vision to all stakeholders to clearly outline the benefits to end-users and the business
Make use of data analytics and financial models to prioritize work that will provide the highest return on investment and business value
Analyze consumption data and get feedback from end-users to identify necessary improvements and fixes
Prioritize required changes so that the most significant pain points and opportunities are addressed first
Document business and product requirements based on all stakeholder needs and understand the API technical specifications

Salary range reflected is an estimate of base pay and is for the primary location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $115,005.00 - $135,300.00 - $148,830.00
