Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere. We are searching for an RN Educator and Infection Control Coordinator to join our agency. This position is based out of our St. Margaret’s Center located in Albany, NY. St. Margaret’s Center is a 94 bed skilled nursing facility providing short-term, long-term, and respite care to children and young adults with disabilities. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and presenting the staff training and education materials at St. Margaret's Center.

  • Presenting the employee orientation, annual mandatory topics, and additionally identified topics for all facility employees.

  • Responsible for the Facility Infection Control Function, including but not limited to: monitoring, policy/procedure development and maintenance, education, reporting, documentation, and required follow-up

  • Responsible for the Facility Orientation and In-service Function, including but not limited to: policy/procedure development and maintenance, New Staff orientation procedures, mandatory staff in-servicing, documentation, general staff in-servicing and required follow-up.

    Requirements:

  • Current NYS RN license

  • At least five years of related experience, specifically in pediatrics or skilled nursing facility

  • Flexible scheduling is a must as this position will require regular attendance at evening/ off hour orientations and other trainings

  • Solid organizational skills; presentation and communication skills

  • Proficient use of computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and delivering training curriculum.

  • Broad-based operational knowledge of Nursing practice and assessment skills, as well as, extensive knowledge of nursing home care and services

    The compensation range for this position is $74,100 to $78,000 annually. Salary is commensurate on experience.
