For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere. We are searching for a Residential Support Manager to join our agency.

The Residential Support Manager supports the mission and goals of the agency by supervising a designated program of which they are deployed and all of its functions, which include the oversight of regulatory compliance, the people we supports satisfaction, ensure communication with families, a positive community image and adherence to program budgets

This is a management position and is responsible for the 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operational and supervisory needs of the staff and people we support of any designated Residential Program. It functions as the primary supervisor of all direct support staff, assigned to the program and may be responsible for ensuring performance appraisals, adequate staffing ratios and integrated services are delivered to the people we support with quality and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Aids in the supporting and monitoring of multiple staff levels as determined by the Director

  • Assumes overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the residence, especially as it relates to direct support staff and physical plant issues; to ensure that those operations are consistent with agency policy and procedures as well as relevant local, state and federal regulations

  • Provide and document training/retraining to new or existing managers or other staff as determined by need

  • Monitors the daily needs of the people we support and assures those needs are addressed by the immediate supervision of direct support staff, including the on-going and formal evaluation of performance by those staff. May also meet those needs by providing direct care to the people we support directly

  • Attends all appropriate meetings for the people we support, staff meetings, managers meetings, and any other agency functions as specified by the Administrator or Director

    Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED

  • 3 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to train

  • 3 years of work experience in Human Services and a medical or pseudo medical position

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

    The compensation range for this position is $26.85-$29.72 Rate of pay is commensurate on experience.
