The Research Foundation for SUNY Program Coordinator of the Empire State Service Corps in Albany, New York

Job Summary: SUNY RF is seeking an experienced program coordinator for a brand new AmeriCorps program, the Empire State Service Corps, supporting over 400 AmeriCorps members across 40 program sites. The Program coordinator will be responsible for supporting program operations, including supporting the program director, and responsible for the back-end support of the program (records management, program outcome tracking, compliance activities.)

Job Duties:

  • Support the implementation of nearly $3 million federal AmeriCorps grant to 40+ subgrantees through various activities

  • Support federal reporting requirements and deliverables such as:

  • Reviewing & submitting quarterly time reports submitted by campuses

  • Working with campus liaisons on onboarding processes for AmeriCorps members

  • Facilitate compliance and reporting by making sure hours are reported timely and accurately

  • Copy-editing the development and writing of the broader AmeriCorps grant for the project

  • Assist with professional development and training plans to be given to the 400 Corps members

  • Support the planning and organization of a summit for the corps members

  • Communicating with campus liaisons on various program initiatives

    Job Requirements:

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted

Preferred Education/Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities

  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail;

  • Excellent communication skills including working with multiple campus contacts, especially written communication

  • Comfortable with grant reporting requirements and ability to keep required documentation especially AmeriCorps or federal grant reporting

Compensation for this position: The compensation for this role is between $65,000 to $75,000. The pay will depend on a variety of factors that may include but are not limited to experience, education, training, and certifications.
