Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to identify their application and analytical needs.

  • Design and develop applications and solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and Office 365 services to meet business requirements.

  • Implement custom solutions that leverage various Microsoft Power Platform and Office 365 services to enhance business processes and efficiency.

  • Connect data sources, import data, and transform data using Power BI Desktop to enable meaningful analysis.

  • Develop reporting models, visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI Desktop or Power BI workspace.

  • Apply analytical thinking to translate data into informative reports and visuals that drive business insights.

  • Document processes and procedures used to create and maintain applications, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity.

  • Generate training documentation and facilitate training sessions to empower end-users and colleagues to use the Power Platform and Power BI effectively.

  • Lead reporting projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery.

  • Collaborate with the IT team on applications and data governance, including security, privacy, and user management concerns.

  • Perform unit testing on work completed and liaise with the QA team for system, integration, and user acceptance testing.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Experience in developing solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI.

  • Experience with Power Apps and Microsoft Dataverse is a plus.

  • Experience with Power BI data querying and modeling capabilities, such as creation of calculated columns, measures, and relationships using DAX.

  • Experience with data integration and transformation.

  • Experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects.

  • Experience in database development in creating complex database Queries, Views, Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions.

  • Experience with supporting all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including: gathering and analyzing business requirements; documenting functional/technical specifications; designing, developing, testing and deploying applications; and, providing production support.

  • Ability to troubleshoot software systems, optimize performance, resolve problems, and provide follow-up on issues.

  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, trouble shooting and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

  • High integrity, with a proactive, positive approach to work.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years equivalent experience required

  • Experience: 2+ years’ experience working with MS Power Platform including Power BI

  • Certification: PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (preferred)

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $65,000 -$85,000 . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.
