Albany Medical Center Outpatient Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Outpatient Physical Therapist. We are looking for a motivated therapist with an interest in treating women, men, and pediatric populations with pelvic floor muscle dysfunctions. Specialty training in pelvic floor physical rehabilitation is preferred. Orthopedic experience and strong manual skills are recommended. Our facility provides private treatment rooms with state-of-the-art equipment with EMG, manometry, biofeedback, and electrical stimulation capabilities using the Laborie Urostym. Must have a current Physical Therapy license.

Desired Skills/Abilities:

  • Skilled evaluation and examination of pelvic disorders including, but not limited to: Pelvic Pain, Pregnancy/Postpartum, Urinary Incontinence.

  • Development of a plan of care appropriate for each individual patient including the patient and family in the development of functional goals.

  • Demonstrates critical thinking and skill in the selection and implementation of pelvic treatments with each patient.

  • Excellent time management and documentation skills.

  • Team oriented focus with both clinical and support staff.

  • Strong manual and orthopedic skills.

Requirements:

  • Current NYS physical therapy license, CPR certification

  • 1 year minimum outpatient physical therapy experience preferred; new grads who have advanced pelvic health training or completed a pelvic health clinical/residency welcome to apply.
