The Occupational therapist evaluates and treats injury, disease, and other conditions of health. Occupational Therapy includes performance and interpretation of tests and measurements to assess pathological and developmental deficits of human systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients in occupational performance areas
Schedules patients, maintains written and verbal communication regarding patient and departmental concerns, submits accurate billing information within insurance restrictions
Participates in rotations in all clinical areas
Participates in teaching, including annual in service to peers
Participates as a clinical supervisor for OT students
Supervises OT assistants
Promotes and contributes to all sanitary and housekeeping policies which are designed to maintain the cleanliness and readiness of all clinic and general staff areas
Participates in department quality improvement activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy - required
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy - required
Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy - required
Acute Care or inpatient rehabilitation experience - preferred
Written and verbal communication (High proficiency)
OT - Occupational Therapist – Registered National Board of Certified Occupational TherapistUpon Hire - required
BLS certificationUpon Hire - required
