Alaant Medicaid Client Care Coordinator – Law Firm in Albany, New York

Alaant Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Medicaid Client Care Coordinator to join our client’s law firm.

As a Medicaid Client Care Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of supporting applicants and their families through the Medicaid application process. Your role will involve unique collaborations with clients, financial institutions, and the Department of Social Services (DSS), ensuring timely and accurate application submissions.

Hours and Benefits for the Medicaid Client Care Coordinator:

  • Direct hire position

  • Monday – Friday regular business hours

  • The salary is between $55,000 - $70,000 (based on experience)

As a Medicaid Client Care Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Client Communication: Contact clients, financial advisors, and insurance companies via mail, email, and telephone to gather necessary information for Medicaid applications.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively anticipate and resolve issues to expedite the application process.

  • Information Management: Collect and organize essential documents (financial records, vital statistics, etc.) required for Medicaid applications with DSS.

  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements to improve service quality, efficiency, and client responsiveness.

  • Client Meetings: Conduct initial meetings to review and sign Medicaid applications and supporting documents, with follow-up meetings as needed.

  • Timely Follow-Up: Prioritize and organize tasks to consistently meet deadlines.

Requirements for the Client Care Coordinator:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; education or certification in office administration is a plus!

  • Proven experience as a Medicaid paralegal or in a related field.

  • Excellent client service and communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong proofreading abilities and keen attention to detail.

  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in analyzing bank and financial statements to track transactions across multiple investment vehicles.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently.
