The Hearing Technician provides services and support to screen individuals for hearing impairments. The primary responsibilities of the Hearing Technician are infant hearing screenings and record keeping.
Hourly Range: $18.00-$20.00
Include but are not limited to the following:
Performs infant hearing screenings as assigned.
Documents hearing screening results in computer-based system.
Schedules re-screens for referred infants.
Communicates results to families, primary care physicians and program staff.
Maintains all patient and departmental records as assigned.
Ability to exercise judgment in the analysis of facts and circumstances to determine actions to be taken in accordance with standard policies and practices.
Ability to organize resources for effective utilization.
Able to prioritize tasks and perform work effectively with frequent interruptions.
Participates in other departmental and institutional activities as assigned.
Schedule:
Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), 10 hours a week, 7am-5pm. with holiday commitment
